Today I finished my scrapbook page using papers and stickers from Graphic 45. I used some dress embellishments from Buttons Galore, pearls from Jolee's, pearl hat pins from Maya Road, part of a flower (I used the lace) from Prima, and a scrap of ribbon from my stash to complete the page.

Day 282: Glamour Shots: Sugar and Spice Part 2
My daughter helped me decide how to embellish this page tonight. I was showing her some crocheted flowers (Prima) I have been wanting to use, but I thought even though they were "soft" looking, they were almost too "heavy" for the page. She noticed a gold heart that I had saved from a handbag (Relics), and suggested that I place it under one of the flowers to help the flower to look softer. Those opposing soft and hard textures helped the flower to feel lighter, because that heavy gold heart grounds it. Last but not least, I added the beautiful stud and pearl swirl by Prima to the left side of the photo.

I added some tan Prima flowers with matte gold brads and a heart embellishment (Buttons Galore) to the page and now I am happy. Pearls and Leather page is finished!

Glitter paper by American Crafts. I cut out the fashion cards from a page of Graphic 45 paper. Flowers by Prima, Ribbon in Razzleberry from Stampin' Up! Filmstrip stamp by Just for Fun, stamped on cream paper in my stash with Memento Black ink. Modeling sticker by 7Gypsies.

Day 241: Dress Form: Embellishments Added
I added some paper flowers by Prima to the bodice of the dress form and painted them silver with a paint dauber by Ranger. Then I sponged some of the silver color off with a crumpled up piece of tissue, revealing some of the pink from the flowers.
I also added some Tim Holtz charms to the skirt by tying them onto some of the ribbons. I used a porcelain rose (made in England) from a clip earring as an embellishment at the waist line. The Tim Holtz angel wings fit perfectly beneath the rose.
I am really pleased with how this turned out. While it is neither a scrapbook nor a stamp project, I have been using my supplies and tools and creating. Isn't that what it's all about!?

Day 208: Tag Album: Part 3
Today I selected the photos I wanted to use, uploaded my photos to a photo website, and had them printed in sepia tones so they would not compete with my papers. I added the photos and embellished the tag pages.
Materials: Papers: Generations by Simple Stories; Mod Podge by Plaid; pearls: Jolee's; metal bird, key, key hole: Tim Holtz; ribbons and lace with pearls, door handle, heart: from my stash; crochet ribbon on page 6: Stampin' Up!; flowers on page 1 and wooden clock on page 2: Prima; tags: Gallery J Creative Crafts
Since I always cover up the faces in my photos, I have shown you the tag book before I added the photos in the pictures below:

Day 188: Books of Note Journal
I like to read and I like to write down summaries of the books, or sometimes even take notes chapter by chapter. Rather than just using a plain old notebook, I buy a black and white composition book and cover it with scrapbook paper and decorate it. For this one, I used a beautiful bird paper by Prima Marketing for the cover, and purple card stock from Stampin' Up! for the inside and back covers. I used Smooch pearlized top coat to add some glimmer and depth to the pastel flowers and the bird's wing and tail. I used some pearls from Jolee's to accent the center of the flowers, the bird's eye, and the keyhole (Tim Holtz). I tied a ribbon around the key and used Lock-Tite glue to adhere the key to the cover. I had some light-colored velvet letters in my stash and altered them with my Stampin' Up! markers for the "Books of Note" title. (I even altered a couple of numbers: turned my 9 into an "S" and turned a 3 upside down to make an E!) I added a multi-layered butterfly to add some more dimension to the upper left of the journal. Finally, I used a pretty variegated pink and purple crochet trim to accent the spine of the notebook. Now when I write about the books I have read, I have a pretty journal to use to record my thoughts.

Day 165: Daddy Daughter Dance Scrapbook Page
For this photo of my daughter and husband, I wanted to focus on the pretty rosy pink color of her dress. I found this really neat glittered scalloped heart from Martha Stewart to put behind their photo. I layered that on top of a piece of pink vellum from Hot Off the Press, and put that over a pale yellow floral paper by Anna Griffin. I used a "cherish" tag from the Bohemia Collection by My Mind's Eye and a "memories" tag from the Wild Asparagus collection by My Mind's Eye. I dotted the "i" in the words "cherish" and "memories" with pearls from Jolee's. I used pink silk flowers from Prima as accents. I put one at the top left of the page and used three at the bottom right of the page to add more visual weight. The crystal centers I used in the flowers as well as the bird embellishment are by Webster's Pages. I think this turned out to be a sweet page of my husband and my daughter and will bring good memories to mind for them when they see it.

Day 133: Cousins Scrapbook Page
I wanted to use this funky flower paper from My Mind's Eye as a background for this page. I made a tag to match by sponging a white tag (Paper Reflections) with blue, green, and fuschia ink from a Kaleidoscope ink pad by Tsukineko. I matted the white tag on green card stock from Stampin' Up! and punched a photo corner from a Paper Shapers punch. I had the fiber in my stash. Paper flowers from Prima helped to tie the page together as the backgrounds for the letters spelling out "Cousins" on the tag. A tattoo from KI Memories, and some buttons from Stampin' Up! added a little punch to the top of the photo.

Day 4: Layer Upon Layer
Tonight I worked on another photo of my daughter. I started with a 12" x 12"green rose floral paper from Stampin' Up! I cut a square approximately 3" x 3" out of the center of the paper so I could punch out matching photo corners. I used double sided tape to adhere matching green ribbon down the left side of the page, about an inch from the edge. Then I put an 8.5" x 10.5" soft floral with cream background on top of the ribbon and the green rose floral paper (covering up the hole I made). Then I placed my daughter's 8"x 10" photo on top of the cream floral paper. I placed the four photo corners halfway on the cream paper and halfway on the corners of the photo. In the upper left hand corner of the photo, I used a pale pink swirl embellishment by Prima and three Prima silk flowers in various shades of pink (effectively covering up that photo corner). Starting approximately 1/3 of the way from the bottom left hand side of the matted photo, I used epoxy letters in shades of green, pink, and cream to spell out the word "Beautiful". I love to layer papers and embellishments and I think this was a gorgeous way to scrapbook my beautiful girl.
