Day 219: Personalized Scrapbook Cover

Tonight I made a "name plate" for one of my son's scrapbook albums.  The album is orange, his favorite color, and I had some chipboard letters by 3 Birds that I wanted to use.  However, I had to align them in a slight stair-step fashion to make them all fit in the space.  Therefore, I simply put them on a piece of green card stock by Stampin' Up! and slid the whole thing into the photo window of his scrapbook album.  And now he has a personalized scrapbook album.

Day 215: Second Grade

I really liked the idea of the leaf background for my son's photo.  It just seemed like fall and school photo should go together. Then I bought an embellishment kit from 3 Birds on HSN, and what should be included, but a cute school house and trees with turning leaves!  I added this cute "2nd Grade" laser cut title from Laserline to add to the school feel. I purposely chose fairly quiet background papers from Stampin' Up! so that most of the focus would be on the photo of my son and the cute embellishments.

Day 110: A Visit With Santa Page: Day 1

Tonight I began laying out a page for a photo of my son visiting Santa Claus.  I used vintage-look Santa paper titled "Virginia" by Melissa Frances as the background.  I used a polished stone background paper that I made with re-inkers from Stampin' Up! as a layer behind the photo. I used Cherry Cobbler from Stampin' Up! as another layer behind the photo.  I put a sprig of holly and a present in opposing corners of the photo. I love 3 Birds; they are the manufacturer of those two cute little embellishments.

Day 83: Grandmother and Grandson, Continued

Today I dug through my stash of embellishments and found the perfect additions to my page. I found a blue and yellow title "Memories" (source unknown), which works with the blues and yellows of my papers. I used my white craft ink pad (Stampin' Up!) to lighten the blue a little bit. I found a title frame edged in green (3 Birds) that has a blue background with white dots, which echoes the green and blue dot pattern in the paper I chose for my photo mat (Stampin' Up!).  I also found two "love" embellishments to put in the corners of the photo (round gold love, unknown; rectangular love: Making Memories).

Day 74: You Are My Sunshine

This scrapbook page needed to coordinate with the "Bob the Builder" page I designed yesterday, and the spattered background paper (manufacturer unknown) I used on this page works perfectly.  It has browns, grays, yellows, and of course orange.  I cut the sunflowers from another scrapbook paper (TPC Studio) and used pop dots to raise them up. The chipboard letters in tones of green, orange, and yellow pull the whole page together.  (Chipboard letters by 3 Birds and Colorbok; yellow paint, used to color cream letters, by Ranger.)
